This year will be my 15th year of teaching music. I grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Tulsa in 2003. After college I got married and moved to Indiana where I began teaching music in Bloomington, and taught there for 6 years. While in Indiana I obtained my Kodaly certification at Indiana University. My family then moved to Texas and I taught in McKinney for 3 years. After moving to Texas I began my Orff-Schulwerk certification at Southern Methodist University and finished Level III in the summer of 2015. My husband is a music professor, which brought us back to TU, where we met. I taught in Broken Arrow School for 4 years, then came to Jenks Public Schools in 2019.
My main instrument is the flute, but I also sing, play piano, ukulele, recorder and a lot of fun classroom instruments! I can't wait to meet you in music class this year!
